Photo du jour: Walter Hood's designs for Center Street

Open. Ramblas. Terraced. These are the forms of hybridity developed by Hood Design for the Center Street project. Details of the design are on display in the northern and northwest windows of Cody’s Books. (The photographs were taken at mid-day.)

Will Berkeley residents choose open hybrid, ramblas hybrid, or terraced hybrid? What’s your choice?

Note the creek element in the second section.

Hi,

I live in near Franklin Park in Jamaica Plain and I'm working on a story on the sick giraffe, Beau. I found your post on feeding the giraffe willow branches while waiting for a call back from a zoo keeper. I'm wondering if you would give me some details; mostly the name of the person at the Arboretum who you worked with?

Your blog is great; hopefully mine will be near as good.

Aria, unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the zookeeper at the Franklin Park Zoo.

I would contact the Franklin Park Coalition or the Boston Parks Department.

Best of luck with the story and the blog (let me know when it is live).
